OGDEN  -- The best boarders in the west will descend on Flowrider Utah, Crossroads Skate Park and Wolf Mountain to battle it out for the ultimate title of Chairman of the Boards during the fourth annual Trifecta of Shred. Top local and national competitors will skate, surf and snowboard their way to the top during the shredding competition, which is set for March 1-3. 

Competitors will boast their skills in various board sports on the mountain, in the park and on the wave during Utah’s largest spring freestyle boarding event. The shredfest is held with the goal to compete in all three events illustrating the crossover between similar board sports.

The Chairman/woman of the Boards and the Mini Shredder for each event will be presented immediately following the snowboard session.

Skate session will take place March 1 at Crossroads Skate Park and Shop (95 N. Harrisville Road). The competition will begin at 5 p.m. with an open skate session from 3 to 5 p.m.

The Flowrider surf session at Salomon Center in Ogden will take place March 2 at 7:30 p.m. with a practice session from 6 to 7 p.m. Flowrider Utah will also offer a midnight Jam Session that evening for the public for $5 per person.

The three-day festivities will culminate the following day, March 3, at Wolf Mountain Terrain Park from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. A practice session will take place from 8 to 10 a.m.  During the snowboarding competition Kahuna Creations will host a Big Stick Best Trick competition.

Trifecta of Shred divisions include grom’s (children) 5-11 years old, junior’s 12-17 years old, men’s 18-older and women’s open and masters 35-older. Divisions will depend on entrants. Entry fee is $45 per person and includes skate, flowboard and terrain park as well as a day lift ticket to Wolf Mountain for March 3.
