Wallisch, who became the first freeskier to win the Dew Cup and gold at Winter X Games, needed to place third or better Sunday to clinch the cup. He ended up finishing second to Indiana's Nick Goepper, while defending champion Bobby Brown of Colorado rounded out the podium.

Wallisch, who had already clinched the title before his second run, didn't hold back and earned a score of 92.25, upping his first-round score of 92.

He was also named Toyota Athlete of the Year in slopestyle skiing.

"It (the season) has been too good," Walllisch said. "It's gonna make all the seasons after this hard."

Earlier, the women took the slopestyle course, where Canada's Kaya Turski won with a score of 93.75. She also took home the Dew Cup. This was the first year for a Dew Cup in women's freeski pipe.

"I'm training really hard," Turski said. "The opportunity of us being in the Olympics is really huge for me."

She was talking about the 2014 Winter Olympics in Russia, where women will compete in freeski superpipe for the first time.

The snowboarders also had their slopestyle finals Sunday, and Sebastien Toutant won the men's snowboard slopestyle Finals on Sunday with his second-run score of 94.50, increasing his lead on his victory lap. With the win, he also took home his first Dew Cup.

"The first stop I got second place, the second stop I got second," said Toutant, who hails from Canada. "To end up the season with a first place and winning the Cup, it's a great feeling."

In women's snowboarding, once again, the winner of the day was also the overall winner. Spencer O'Brien came back from fifth place to take the win and her second career Dew Cup.

"It felt really good," O'Brien said of taking the win. "Kind of surreal. I wasn't really thinking very much on that last run, so when I stomped that last trick I was so happy. It's a lot of pressure when you don't land your first run."
